Birthday Boy!

Singing Happy Birthday.....and blowing out the candles.He wasn't to sure about that cake.....but by this point he let us know....he really didn't like it :(Getting cleaned up in the sink- I couldn't believe he acutally fit in the sink! Precious little chocolate finger prints.

God has blessed us above and beyond what we could have ever imagined with these 2 little boys. Benjamin is such a precious gift to us! His smile and laughter light up a room and when he looks at me it melts my heart. I can't imagine what our life would be like without him. He is VERY independent and is always trying to keep up with his big brother. He is strong and loving. I tend to call him a little spicy...he is very strong willed and determined but hey he gets it honestly.

We are so blessed!

One Year Check-up

I took Benjamin for his one year check up.

26lbs.(85%)

31 3/4" long (95%)We have often thought that he was much bigger than Christian but not really he only weighs about 1/2lb more and 1/2" longer. I am going to get some of his birthday pictures tonight and will try to post them tomorrow! So this will have to do until then! :0)

Benjamin is ONE!

Wow--- where does the time go? I can't believe that our second little man turned one on Saturday. For Christian's 1st Birthday we took a short family trip to the beach. It was wonderful the weather was still warm and we were able to enjoy the water. A totally diffrent story for Benjamin being born in Febuary. The forcast was wet and rainy so we decided to head to Richmond for the weekend. Before I post a few pictures I thought I would share some of what he is up to these days since I haven't done it in soooo long...

*He is totally off of baby food and has been since about Thanksgiving he is a GREAT eater and will eat Christian under the table almost every meal.

*He has started walking some. Just last Thursday he walked 1/2 way across the living room and has done it once or twice since then.

*He has 10 teeth he had 4 for the longest time and just in the past month he has gotten 6 more!

*His vocabulary is growing he can say-- Mama, Ball, Bye Bye, Hi, Hey and he has recently started tring to say vroom vroom as he drives cars and trucks around like his big brother. We have not used sign language with him nearly as much as Christian but he does tell us more more

*He can clap his hands

*He loves to jump

*He can wave

*He is off of the bottle

*He is sharing a room with his big brother

*He loves to dance

I would say that he likes itMessy Messy Trying to eat and do his smile at the same time!
So we stuck with it and didn't give Benjamin any sweets until his actual birthday which is what we did with Christian but it was much harder this time around. Here is the cookie we got for him to try. LOVE this picture look at his little face. They came out and sang happy birthday to him and then set a little bowl of ice cream in front of him. His face looks like he is in udder shock.

So funny this is when he got a good bite of that cold ice cream Happy Boy!
Asking for more....... and totally disappointed when he didn't get more.
