Benjamin- 1 Month Check-up

I took Benjamin for his 1 month check-up today with Dr. Dirk. Everything went well. Dr. Dirk said he is healthy and just perfect. That always makes you feel good! :)

He weighted in at 10lbs on the dot (40%) and was 23 inches long (80%)- Wow he has grown a lot already!

A Visit with Grandma

This morning I got the boys ready and we took a short trip home (VA) to visit Grandma Connie. It is only about 2-2 1/2 hrs. away. She had not gotten to see Benjamin yet and we had not gotten to see her since Christmas. It was a great visit although a little short. It is always a special treat to go to her house even for just a few hours! Here are a few pictures from our visit.

We took the boys the Friday before Easter 3/16 and got some pictures made. I would have posted them sooner but when I loaded the CD it was blank so I had to go back and pick up another copy and with all we had going on it took awhile.

New Baby, New Job, & New Home!

That's right.... we have had A LOT going on it has been pretty busy. For those of you who don't know................



Ed got offered a new job just a couple of days before Benajmin was born. If my memory serves me right this is his third week. He is back to managing and so far he seems to enjoy it. The commute is a few minutes shorter but here in Raleigh anytime that you don't have to spend in traffic is great!!



Of course we have had Benjamin... who could miss all those cute pictures of him! :) He is growing like a weed already and we are trying to enjoy every minute we can with him (even the 3am feedings).



A new house....that's right we spent this past weekend moving. We have only moved about 2 miles from where we were before. We were blessed with the time we had in seminary housing but God had shown us it was time to move on. We have a little more space to spread out and I am sure that we will need it with 2 boys.



3 major changes but we are all adjusting well. God never gives us more than we can handle. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

This is our old place....lots of memories were made here-we started out as a couple and then grew to a family of 4, it was the first place we called home with our boys.

This is the new place and we are looking forward to all the memories we will make here!

Happy Easter!

We enjoyed Easter this year. Saturday morning we went to an Easter Egg hunt at church. It was Christian's first Egg hunt. He was really excited but didn't quite understand that he needed to pick up the eggs when the whistle blew so he only got 4 eggs but he had fun.

Sunday we got up and let the boys check out their Easter Baskets. Christian really enjoyed looking in his basket and Benjamins since Benjamin really couldn't get into his this year. :) We went to church for the first time as a family of 4. We have it down to about 2 hours to get the 4 of us ready to leave when we need to go out. (I don't think thats bad...hopefully we will get faster). Christian was excited to go to his class and of course we took Bejamin with us to the service. Benjamin did great- he stayed awake for praise and worship had a bottle and then fell asleep during preaching.

After church we headed to South Hill- about 1hr away to meet Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Jeff, Kayla, & Adian to have lunch at Cracker Barrel. It was yummy but when is Cracker Barrel not yummy? It was the first time Uncle Jeff got to see Benajmin- he was a good boy he slept through most of the meal- no treats for him this year maybe next Easter. When lunch was over we got in the van and headed back to our house with only Benjamin. Yep thats right we let our big boy go home to have some fun with his cousins- for A WHOLE WEEK (hopefully I will make it that long). Kayla and Aidan were so excited they are both out of school for the week so they will all get to play their little hearts out. When we called to talk to him last night he was having a blast just laughing and laughing. I know it will be good for him- I am sure he will be spolied rotten while Ed and I get a week to enjoy with Benjamin.
