7 Years.....

Today Ed and I have been married for 7 years! It is so hard to believe...the time has flown by. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful husband and terrific father. My husband is one of the most selfless people that I know; he works so hard to provide for our family so that I can stay home with our boys. He is an amazing father always trying to teach the boys something new and spends time investing in them and making new memories everyday! He loves me unconditionally even when I am at my worst. (I love you Honey!)

We have had some hard times and great times. From buying our first house, and getting our first dog, to going through Cancer and wondering if we would be blessed with children and now we have two! It is such a blessing to look back and see how God has unfolded every page of our life together from the very beginning and it is with anticipation and excitement that we look forward to adding many more chapters to the story of us. This picture is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding ceremony.Matthew 19:4-6 "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female, and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

A Dinner Date....just the two of us!

We are so blessed to have wonderful friends who are like family who we trust to take care of our boys. On the 9th Todd & Emily kept both Christian and Benjamin so that Ed and I could go out to dinner for our anniversary (a little early). We went to the Melting Pot in raleigh- we had gone to the one in Richmond for our 2nd anniversary. The food was delicious and the time together with just the two of us precious!

MMM...the melting pot!

Just the two of us....

Couldn't resist had to post this picture of my wonderful husband! This is what it looks like when they bring it out.....and you cook it yourself in this nice pot! :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mothers Day! Sorry we are posting a day late-things have been a little crazy. Tuesday night last week Ed took the boys out to go shopping for Mother's Day. It was the first time he had taken both boys and the first time that I think I have been without both of them since Benjamin was born. Ed said they did great and I was excited they all 3 came back in one piece! (Thanks Honey!) Then on Saturday morning Ed fixed a wonderful breakfast (I think this is going to be a tradition as he fixed one last year as well :). He made it on Saturday since has to be at church so early on Sunday. We spent Saturday just hanging out at home not doing much at all since Christian was not feeling well. Sunday Ed went to church and I decided to stay home with the boys. Ed came home from church with Smithfield’s for lunch and then we all took a short nap. After naptime Christian came brining me cards and a present. They boys helped Daddy pick out a bracelet with Benjamin's birthstone- I love it! We had planned on going out to dinner but decided to postpone it since we had a sick little boy. I fixed some spaghetti since its quick and easy. Well we sat down for dinner and you won't believe it- Christian fell asleep at the table! For those of you who know our sweet boy that is not at all like him. It was so pitiful. Well I took him to the Dr. first thing this morning with a temp. of 103 and found out that he has an ear infection and bronchitis :( I took him on Thursday last week because I didn't think that he was feeling well and they gave us nothing and now look where we are. Anyways, he is now on Amoxicillin and we are so thankful that he has made it well over 1 1/2 years with no ear infection and are praying that this one will heal quickly and he will be back to his old self before long!

The Month of May~

May has been an exciting month so far- we have been to the park to play with friends, shopping, had dinner with friends, and to meet in the street. It looks like it is only going to get better with more playdates and birthday parties we can hardly wait!!

Playing at the parkLooking at Mommy and Daddy's wedding pictures. It was so sweet he got into a cabinet where out pictures were and pulled out the photo albums. The next thing I know he was sitting in the floor intently looking at each picture and pointing out the people that he knows.

We went to Meet in the Street in Wake Forest. Here is Christian sitting in the back of the firetruck he loves truck but what boy doesnt?

Christian trying to figure out how this pinwheel worksJust having some fun!Enjoying some ice cream

After meet in the street Todd Emily and Mecaden came over for dinner. Emily made herself right at home in Christian's chairMecaden got to try her first brownie that night- she wasn't to sure what to think but decided she that she like it.I couldn't resist posting this picture look at the crystal clear blue eyes!! BUSTED! That's right I was in the kitchen and came out to find Christian making himself at home in Benjamin's carseat-he is always looking for trouble :-) Friday morning we made muffins here is a picture of Christian helping me check on them he says hot and then he pushes his nose on the glass to get a really good look at them!

2 month Check-up!

Wow!! I can hardly believe that my "little" man is 2 months old already. We went for his check-up today and compared to his big brother he is a heavy weight at this point. Weighing in at whopping 11lbs 8oz(45%)!! I can't believe it. He is already 23.5 inches (70%). He smiled and smiled at Dr. Dirk today but was not happy at all when he had to get his shots- his little smile turned upside down but not for to long.

Look at the cute bandaids he got
His not so happy face

He may be little but he is already reaching milestones-

We have had to say goodbye to the little bottles and move to the big ones he is taking 5oz at each feeding and sometimes acts like he wants more!!

This is one of my favorite outfits I wore it on Christian and on Benjamin but it is already in a pile of clothes to be packed up because it is to small....They grow way to fast!

Benjamin is also pretty much on a schedule at this point. He wakes up in the morning around 7:30-8ish and eats and then just hangs out for awhile and then he will sleep a little and eats around 11,3,6-7, and around 9:30pm. After his 9:30pm bottle he is up for a little while but then he goes to bed and sleeps all night long! We are very blessed.
