Well I have a little bit of catching up to do. To be honest I just haven't taken the time to update the blog. I guess sometimes Life gets in the way.....:)
Benjamin-
Wow it is amazing he is a little over 6 months old. I took him for his check-up with Dr. Dirk and he said he was perfect I love to hear him say that! Benjamin is a little heavy weight- 20lbs 5oz (90%) 27.5in. long (70%). He has 4 teeth yes that is right 4 teeth. They are all on the bottom but there are a few pushing in on the top! He is eating baby food and loves it. We have only done a few veggies and one fruit so we will need to pick up on that. Dr. Dirk told us that we needed to drop a bottle and feed him solids 3x's a day (a little bit sooner than with Christian). We have followed his advice and now Benjamin only has 3 bottles a day and eats 3 meals a day! He is such a happy baby always smiling. He is really doing a lot more these days.
*Sitting up on his own- although he does tend to topple over some)
*4 teeth with more coming in
*Loves to play with his feet
*ADORES his big brother- he can hardly take his eyes off of him when he is in the room
*Sleeps in his crib most of the time it is all night(about 7:30-8 sleeps until about 7ish)
*CRAWLING!! Yes you read that right our little man is crawling around all over the place- does this mean he will walk early to??? :)
*Loves his Jumperoo and his Exersaucer
*Loves to snuggle with Mommy Daddy and Christian before bedtime
*likes to swing at the park
Christian-
I can hardly believe that in a few weeks he will be two! He is such a smarty pants and is always teaching me new things everyday. He is loving going to preschool and will get in the car and say I have fun playing- go to school. He is such a talker. Ed has taught him how to shake hands and so no when he meets someone he will shake their hand and say nice to meet you! How sweet is that? There are lots more so I will just list some of them...
*Benjamin Don’t throw it don’t throw it (but please note when Benjamin "throws" drops something Christian is the first to say I'll get it and picks it up for Benjamin)
*Benjamin wake up its time for supper
*He’s cute-talking about Benjamin
*Counts 1-5 in Spanish
*A few weeks ago the power was out and the he could not watch his movie that day when Ed got home he asked to watch the TV and Ed said it was broken well Christian said Daddy you home fix it! (He gets that from me sometimes when something is broken I tell him we have to wait for Daddy to get home and help us fix it)
*He loves Benjamin but he also enjoys beating up on Benjamin oh the times will change I am sure when Benjamin gets a little bit bigger
*LOVES LOVES LOVES trains, cars, diggers, buses, & airplanes. There are a few places near the house that have construction going on and when we dive by he will say ohhh Look at that Digger then as we pass he will say see another one see another one!
*He says the prayer at supper time and always gives a loud AMEN!
*When we are in the car a lot of times he can recognize where we are going and sometimes he will say~ were almost there or almost home it is sooo cute
*He is doing great with his manners although sometimes we have to remind him
*He has enjoyed going to the farmers market and vegetable stand to get vegetable this summer
I am sure there are tons more that I can't think of but now for the pictures which I am sure is what everyone is waiting for!
Benjamin outgrew the baby carrier so in August we were trying to decide what to do. Well we bought Christian a new seat and gave Benjamin Christians old seat (yes it seems the 2nd child gets a lot of hand me downs! :)
