MIA-Fathers Day Weekend~ A trip to the Park, Angus Barn, & The ER!

Sorry we have not updated the blog in sooooo long it has been a crazy few weeks! It all started Fathers Day Weekend. We had a wonderful day on Saturday. We started with a trip to daylight donuts and then the weather was great so we took our first trip to Pullen Park in Raleigh. It was a lot of fun and we got some wonderful pictures. Christian really enjoyed riding the boats and the carousel. The train was not running but we are hoping that it is on our next trip.

Fathers Day: Started out great- everyone went to church and then it was home for rest time! Once everyone was up and at it again the boys gave Ed their gifts. He really liked them. We all then got ready to go out to dinner. Ed had no idea where we were going it was a suprise read on a little bit further to see how the evening ended up.....

After opening his gifts from the boys we headed out to dinner. Ed had no idea where we were going he just knew we had to dress business casual.....and then we arrived at.......Ed had been saying that he would like to try it sometime. Well I made sure to confirm that they were kid friendly and there were plenty of other children there and our dinner started out great....

Daddy & BenajminChristian getting ready to enjoy his dinner he liked the cheese and crackers they bring out The waitress we had was so sweet she gave Christian some toys to play with and took him on a little walk he really liked her!
Well then dinner arrived and as we were in the middle of dinner Christian spit up just a little bit. I actually thought he had choked on a piece of his PB&J and then all of sudden there was a lot more....EVERYWHERE!! Ughhh so at this point we knew we had to leave. We stripped Christian down to his diaper and Ed took him outside while I got our dinner boxed up and all of our things together.

When I got outside Christian seemed fine so we still thought maybe he got choked on something. Everyone got in the van and we headed home. We made it almost all the way home we were with in 10minutes of our house and Christian got sick again- not once but 4x's in the van. So we got home and got him cleaned up and everything else he was not running a fever or anything and went right to bed so we had no idea what was wrong.

The next morning he got up asking for his usual milk and a waffle. So I got him his breakfast and he ate it up. Ed was home this morning b/c he had a Dr. apt. As I was getting showered Ed came in and said ummm Christian is sick again. At this point I knew it was not just something he had eatten so I got cleaned up and got him cleaned up again and called the Dr.'s office to see when we could get in they said originally they could not see us until 2:30pm well that was fine until he continued to get sick 2 more times in the next 15 minutes. We called back and I took him in and they said he probably just had some kind of virus it was going around and gave him a shoot to hopefully stop the vomitting since he was getting dehydrated. We came home and he laid around and we fought him to drink for the rest of the day. We tried gatorade, water, apple juice, pedialite, and on and on he didn't really drink much and kept a little bit down maybe 1/2 of a sippy cup.

That evening and the next day he again started vomitting so the Dr.'s office advised a trip to the ER so when Ed got home that is where we headed. We didn't want to take Benjamin with us and we didn't want to leave him with anyone who had children so our friends Ashley and Nick kept him for us. When we got to the hospital he was still so sick they admitted him for monitoring, bloodwork, and iv fluids. We stayed until about 3:30 in the morning and then we were released. They had to give him an IV which was not fun at all they tried once in each arm and were unsucessful and finally got it in his foot. He was so tired and weak he just laid there and slept most of the time.

We took a couple pictures of him with our cell phone. We came home and he just laid around in the floor for days!! Finally by Friday- 5 days later he was feeling better. Thankfully no one else got it exspecially Benjamin although if I could have fixed it for Christian I sure would have he was one sick little boy. Now he is just happy and healthy back to normal and we are praying that he is never that sick again!

Christian laying in the floor on my homemade pilot he laid here most of the week

One day he feel asleep right on the floor and this is not like my child at allWhen we got to the ER they gave up a bucket incase we needed it and this is how he sat for a long time..

He was so tired he finally fell asleep for a little whilehis little foot where they finally got the iv in
